Treasure

I treasure New Zealand because some of my family is here.

I treasure Feilding because it is where my house is and my family lives here.

I   treasure   Karori   because   I   used   to   live   there, it   was   a   very   special   place because I have good memories of it.

 I treasure Palmerston North because I was born there  and half of my famly lives there and I treasure Feilding because half of my famly lives there and one of my famly is in heven.

Feilding is a treasure to me because my family and  my friends live there.

It is my treasure because my great nana died there and some of my family live there.

Our Treasures

In Room 20 we have been talking about what is important to us and what we treasure.  We have made our very own treasure chests and put pictures of our treasures in it, we also included some gold because our treasures are more valuable than gold to us.  We have discussed that we all value different things but as a whole we all value our whanau.  Here is a picture of our treasure chests taking pride of place on the wall:

The Teacher's Museum

Today we went to the Library and got to see the Teacher's treasures.  There were lots of different things and we got to find out a little bit more about Lytton Street School and the staff here.  We had such a good time and enjoyed getting to know our teachers better!

The Treasure Chest

When we got to school this morning a Treasure chest had appeared in our classroom.  Miss Main put post-its and pens down and asked us.......... I wonder......... What is in this Treasure Chest?  We had to put our ideas down and stick it to the top of the chest.  This is what we thought:

Holidays

I hope everyone had a relaxing holiday and you're all ready to get back into it! We have lots going on this term so keep checking back to see what we are up to. We are looking at Treasures so have a think about what your treasures are and why you think they are treasures. We also have cross-country coming up at the end of the term so make sure you're making the most of your fitness time.

Well Market Day has come and gone, and what a success it was!!!!  Our 3 companies sold out and everyone had such a great time!  Well done Room 20 for the awesome effort you out in to making today a success!!!!!

We are learning to say 'th' properly.  We need to remember it's not a 'f' sound!  It is Room 20's favorite sound because we get to poke our tongue out at the teacher.

Team Time - Week 7

Congratulations to Elexis and Arabella for getting Room 20's AROHA certificates this week.  Elexis has been showing Respect to her class at all times and Arabella has been taking Ownership of her learning and trying her hardest!!!!  Ka Pai girls!!!!!!
